Serenity

Something I've been working on for the two weeks. I learnt a few new techniques in Vue in order to complete it too.

Done in Vue 6 Infinite and Photoshop CS3.

Just as a side-note: I'm redirecting the full-view images (From when you click on the thumbnails here) to the pages I have them on at DeviantArt. That way they won't eventually expire like with imageshack when the view limit is reached. So yeah, if you want the full wallpaper sized version, either click the download link to the left of the image on DeviantArt, or on the preview thumbnail there. :)

Comments welcome as always.

Infinitum 2

This is a rework of the first Infinitum. I actually did this ages ago (Probably over a year back) but just never uploaded it.

The 500Gb hard drive with all my original Photoshop and Vue files is now dead thanks to a defective SATA/IDE to USB Sabrent power adapter, so I can't tweak this further anyway unless I get $900-1200 someday to recover the data through a data recovery company. Needless to say, the same applies to all my other art except for my other two most recent Vue ones which I had saved separately. :(

Frozen Time

This one took about three days to finish, (not working on it all the time obviously). Some of that time was due to the laptop I'm using being slower than my PC which I usually use, but I'm happy with how it turned out (for now anyway).

Several renders done in Vue 6 Infinite and merged in Photoshop CS3.

Outlook

Done in Vue 6 Infinite over a few hours, render took about 3-4 hours. This'll be the last piece I submit for a while since we're moving to California from here in South Africa on Monday and I won't have my PC for 6-8 weeks. I'll be using a laptop a bit, but its processing power is like a third of my PC so I doubt I'll even bother.

Comments welcome as always. :)

Kenón

Suddenly had the inspiration to try something new. Nothing spectacular, but I really like how it came out.

Programs used:
Terragen 2
Apophysis
Photoshop CS3
Time taken: 2 hours?

Unfortunately, this is the biggest resolution. Couldn't do anything wider than 800 pixels due to the Terragen 2 free version limit. I really need to save up and just buy it, there's just so much potential.

The name "Kenón" is supposed to be ancient greek for "endless space".

Island 2

Done in Vue 5 Infinite, One of my favourite older pictures. Simplicity makes for the best wallpapers.

This is just a small update to the same image that I did in June 2006.

Riverside

Done in Vue 6 Infinite with some post-work in photoshop. Something I had an idea of and had been intending to render for six months. Took about 4-5 hours to render. (Last PC would've taken about 40-50, which is why I hadn't finished it till recently). Haven't gotten to uploading it till now, so it's a few months old now.

Winter and Beyond

Here's something new I started a while back, stopped for a while, and now decided to rework and finish.

About 5-6 hours of work Photoshop CS3 and a new Planet is born, I haven't decided what to name it yet, but I'll think that up when I integrate it into a proper scene later on. :)

Highway to The Stars

I've spent several hours making this graphic over the weekend. I'm quite happy with the result.

As you can see, my starscapes have improved quite a bit. I learnt a new technique of doing them. :)

Credit to cektop7 for his awesome stock photo of the highway that was used for it. His gallery can be found here: cektop7

From The Ashes

Just something I threw together in Vue 6 Infinite as I got inspiration the other day.
